Jurnee volunteered at HSUS' Taking Action for Animals (TAFA) conference outside of Washington, D.C. on June 17-20. She tabled for Humane Society Academy, speaking to hundreds of attendees about the importance of humane education. She also lobbied on Capitol Hill about the Humane Cosmetics Act, Preventing Animal Cruelty & Torture Act, Pet and Women Safety Act, Prevent All Soring Tactics Act, and Safeguard American Food Exports Act to Representative Phil Roe, Senator Lamar Alexander, and Senator Bob Corker!

Tennessee Humane Lobby Day 2016
Jurnee was honored to lobby in our state capitol, Nashville, for The Humane Society of the United States on March 9, 2016! She met with Representative Micah Van Huss and Senator Rusty Crowe to discuss passing the Commercial Dog Breeders Registration Act. Tennessee currently has no laws that require breeders to be registered and licensed. This means puppy mills are rampant and cruelty and neglect are increasing. We cannot stand for this in our Volunteer State! Let's end cruelty!
